Smoky Jazz
Trying to get back into art is hard. I grew up a comics nerd, drawing superheroes as often as I could find paper and something to draw with. After a brief stint as an art major, I left visual art behind for the remainder of college and a few years after as well. Now I'm trying to wake up the right side of my brain again and make art (comic heroes and otherwise) that I'm happy with. Art featuring established characters whose rights are owned by folks who could buy and sell me is meant as tribute to those characters and in no way is intended for my own commercial use.

Lone ranger. Working on a western graphic novel I hope to self publish and wanted to work on some western style stuff. Also looked at some info on Disney’s Lone Ranger and got excited. I’ll repost after touching up.

The Rocketeer Adventures #4, July 2012, cover by Darwyn Cooke
I picked this up in this weeks haul. The middle story of the three in this issue, “Cliff Secord, Warrior of Blargon” by David Mandel and J Bone is a must read. This whole series has had a lot of great stories in it.
Highly recommended!

Mentioned superhero drawings in the description above but with the exception of Disney’s Avengers I haven’t posted anything of the sort. So here’s a Valiant/Marvel bout featuring Deadpool and Bloodshot. Both have healing abilities do I don’t know who’d win. When I get the right equipment I’ll color and repost.
